Go and Be: Spring Edition

Spring is full of fun opportunities to go and be the church in our community. Check out these upcoming ways to show Christ’s love to our neighbors, and sign up to join us! And remember, kids are some of our most treasured helpers, so sign up your family to serve with you!

Saturday, April 13
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Serve at C-Kids in South Dallas, our weekly Bible club for inner-city kids   
9:30 to 11:30 a.m. | Put together Easter gifts for nursing homes and community partners, stuff Easter eggs for community partner egg hunts, write cards for widows/widowers, and sort groceries and put together Fastpacs, weekend food bags for children in need here in Frisco 

Thursday, April 18
10 to 11:30 a.m. | Assemble Easter gift bags for the homeless in South Dallas (at Stonebriar)   

Saturday, April 20
8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. | Clean and landscape with us at Coventry Reserve in Wylie, a resource center for adults with special needs
9 to 11 a.m. | Hand out Easter gift bags to the homeless & Park Manor in South Dallas
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Serve the homeless of South Dallas at the Cornerstone clothing/shower complex (helpers should be 16 years and older)
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Help at the Cornerstone Community Easter Egg Hunt in South Dallas by serving water, snow cones, helping with egg hunt, enjoying being with the kids and their families

Frisco Fastpacs: Items Due Thursday, April 11

We’re partnering with Frisco Fastpacs again this year to help provide food for local kids in need. Each week, 700+ weekend meal bags are given out in partnership with our local schools. To help the cause, please bring only the items listed below. These are for kids and many are preparing their own meals which is why Frisco Fastpacs has selected these items. Thanks for helping care for these little ones in our community!

  • 15-ounce canned fruit
  • 15-ounce canned vegetables
  • Canned meats (chicken or tuna)
  • 15-ounce canned pasta meals (ravioli, spaghetti, etc.)
  • Individual pasta meals (boxed macaroni and cheese, ramen, etc.)
  • Granola bars with no nuts
  • Individual oatmeal packets
  • Individual desserts (Rice Krispies Treats, cookies, gummy fruit snacks, etc.)
  • Individual snacks (Cheez-Its, Goldfish Crackers, pretzels, etc.)
