Welcome to Stonebriar Community Church

Stonebriar Community Church exists to glorify God by encouraging all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ.

You may simply be curious, or you may be struggling hard over what you believe. Whatever your situation, we offer a safe place to express doubts, ask questions, and find answers. We uphold seven core beliefs as essential to Christianity. These beliefs relate to God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, humanity, salvation, and the end of time. We focus on vital signs and core values as guidelines for spiritual growth, ethical ministry, and living.

After just six months, 1,500 people were attending worship services at our temporary location—a community college. By February 2001, we opened the doors of our first worship center.

On a warm autumn evening in 1998, a group of people met to talk and pray about forming a church in the center of one of the nation’s fastest growing cities—Frisco, Texas. God united that group, which included Senior Pastor Chuck Swindoll and blessed their efforts. Stonebriar Community Church was formed as a nondenominational church. That means that we are an independent church not affiliated with or governed by a denominational organization. Instead, we are guided by a board of elders—a group of men who attend Stonebriar and meet the biblical qualifications for church leadership.

With the completion of our new Worship Center in the fall of 2008, we are looking for new ways to encourage all people to pursue lifelong, joyous relationships with Jesus Christ.

Stonebriar Community Church has been one of America’s fastest-growing churches—not the largest, but the fastest-growing. In 2017, Pastor Chuck Swindoll shares the vision for the future of Stonebriar Community Church.
