Whether you’re unemployed or just looking for something new, we’re here to help. We know that applying for jobs can be a daunting process, which is why we offer support like Frisco Connect, Reach Up Reach Out, and the Career Transition Workshop.
Reach Up Reach Out is a weekly encouragement group for those facing job transition. Led by Stonebriar pastors and volunteers, this group applies and connects God’s Truth with the spiritual challenges associated with job loss and job search. Reach Up Reach Out meets Friday mornings at 7 a.m. in room B151-B152.
Frisco Connect is a networking and skill building meeting for those in job transitions. It provides mentoring and support in critical areas of the job search, such as interview skills, resume writing, and using social media to enhance your networking strategy. Meetings frequently have representatives from area corporations looking to hire new employees. Frisco Connect meets the first and third Tuesdays of every month from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in room B181 (the HUB).
The Career Transition Workshop is a one-day event held several times throughout the year. Attendees will learn strategies on key elements of job-searching from a panel of experts. Workbooks and lunch are provided, and there’s no cost to attend.
