Carlos Moya has been serving on the mission field in Barcelona, Spain for almost 10 years, where he equips leaders through the teaching of theological, biblical, and spiritual truths. Carlos received his bachelor’s degree in theology at FIT IBSTE (Instituto Bíblico y Seminario Teológico de España) Barcelona in 2009, and his Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2014.
Carlos’ ministry has three main areas:
First, where he spends most of his time, and serves everyday: “Facultad de Teología IBSTE” (University of Theology IBSTE). Carlos serves as a professor mainly in New Testament exposition area, and he is also Dean of Students. He is passionate about allowing the Bible to speak truth to the hearts of the students through Christ-centered preaching, exegesis, theological reflection, critical thinking, spiritual transformation, emotional connection, and pastoral care. He likes spending time with the students outside of the classroom in order to create a warm atmosphere and community. He loves helping the students to see their potential for life and ministry.
Second, Carlos serves at the local church of Castelldefels through the preaching and teaching of the Bible. Although his main focus is serving at the Bible Seminary, he is highly committed to the life of the local church where he preaches, plays bass guitar, and disciples young believers.
Third, Carlos has been praying for a non-western country to get involved and gain appreciation for different expressions of the Gospel worldwide, as well as a better understanding of God’s Kingdom. Travelling to Kenya and Cuba has proven to be an amazing opportunity to minister and learn from others.
Last and certainly not least, Carlos loves being a father to his three children, Dylan (17), Mia (14), and Evan (10). Nothing compares to the joy that he experiences as he spends time with them. Family is his real passion, and seeing his kids grow and developing their potential brings him great joy.
Please keep these ministries in your prayers.
