Philippians 2:12–18
Although imprisoned, Paul does not give up hope, because his hope is not of the world, but in Jesus. He urges believers to “Therefore continue”—even in his absence—especially in his absence. Although Paul might die any moment at the whim of his captors, he focuses on obeying the will of the Lord, knowing that a life lived in the Word is a life not lived in vain.
