Women’s Bible Studies: summer 2019

We offer Bible studies to fit every schedule and style. Browse our weekly groups below to find your place to belong, grow in your faith, and develop friendships with fellow women. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Precept: A Man and a Woman for Such a Time as This (Esther)
June 6–27 | 9:30–11:30 a.m.
What is your purpose? God is always working in the affairs of His creation, even when we are unaware. This study shows us how Esther attained royalty to fulfill God’s purpose in her life and the lives of His people. Can God use you “for such a time as this”? Join us on Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in B244 beginning June 6. There is no childcare for this Bible study.

Knowing Jesus, the Great I Am
June 19–July 31 | 9:30–11:30 a.m.
“Who do you say that I am?” Jesus once asked Peter. Jesus came proclaiming the Kingdom of God was at hand and revealing His true identity to those with eyes to see and ears to hear. The Gospel of John records seven “I Am” statements Jesus made, explaining Himself through metaphor and, in doing so, turning the world on its head. What does Jesus say about Himself, what is the meaning of the metaphors He uses, and how does this shape our identity as believers? Come join us this summer to worship, make new friends, and grow in the knowledge of our Savior—all of this with no homework! This study begins June 19 and concludes July 31, with the week of July 4 off. Childcare is available through registration.

Enneagram Insights Into the Greatest Commandment
June 19–July 31 | 9:30–11:30 a.m.
This six-week study explores the Enneagram’s insights into loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving your neighbor as yourself. Participants will learn or deepen their knowledge of their number, develop greater self-awareness, gain tools for improving relationships, and discover the ways they are uniquely made in God’s image for His glory. Please bring a three-ring binder for your curriculum. This study begins June 19 and concludes July 31, with the week of July 4 off. Childcare is available through registration.

Coming fall 2019

Isaiah: Past, Present, and Future
Beginning Wednesday, September 4 | 9:30 a.m. & 6:30 p.m.
Although it was written thousands of years ago, the book of Isaiah is just as relevant in our current day. Its prophecies give us hope in our Redeemer and the blessed future we have to look forward to because of Him. Join us this fall as we begin our journey through Isaiah! Childcare is available through registration.

More fall studies will be available, so please check back again soon! If you have any questions, please reach out to Melissa at melissar@stonebriar.org.
