Standing Firm in the Faith

One of the greatest dangers to the Gospel of Jesus Christ was—and continues to be—ungodly contentment. When we choose to live only to satisfy our desires without God directing our pursuits of satisfaction, we settle for a Christ-less faith.

Ungodly contentment may satisfy us temporarily, but it will deceive us ultimately. How would our lives change if we learned to contend for the true Christian faith we received from the Apostles? What if we didn’t get deceived or swayed by false teachings of a happy faith without Christ?

In this series, we will learn from the Epistle of Jude how false teachings can infiltrate the church and sway us to the distortion of Gospel truth. When we encounter false teachings and beliefs today, we must contend for the Gospel of Jesus and not be content with anything less. Join us as we learn from Jude’s warnings to stand firm and faithful until the end.

“Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that the Lord has once for all entrusted to us, His people.”
Jude 1:3 (NIV)
