Our Missional Living and Community Care ministries are devoted to sharing God’s love with our neighbors, both across the street and around the world. During this unprecedented time, there are many opportunities to care for others in Jesus’ name. We hope you will join us in this mission!
Even though we are all in the middle of a global pandemic, the calling of God has not changed during COVID-19. As followers of Jesus, we are still called to love both God and our neighbors. It’s easier said than done, but if we push past the fear, time barriers, and pride that can keep us from engaging with others, we can build deep connections with the people in our neighborhood and, most importantly, please God during and post-COVID-19.
Over the next 5 weeks, the Missional Living Ministry is going to lead you through scripture and learn some practical ways to be a good neighbor during COVID-19. What would our communities look like if we took Jesus’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves seriously? Join us to find out!

We encourage you to scroll down through the many fantastic missionary families that God has brought into our church family. In order to care for and get to know our missionary friends serving around the world, we invite you to “adopt a missionary” for a one-year term. While we are always encouraging our church body to support missionaries financially, this program is designed to bolster missionary families through encouragement and prayer. We encourage you to assist missionaries in this creative way either individually or with your small group or adult fellowship. Once you have signed up, you will be given specific details of the ministry and personal needs of your missionary.
On Mondays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., we collect food donations for our neighbors in need. This is an easy drive-thru donation opportunity, so there’s no need to go inside the building.
Please pick up a few items from the list below and drop them off outside our Building B lobby under the covered driveway. Be sure to arrive between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., or you’ll miss the collection truck!
We have received many requests from our congregation, asking, “How can we help others during this challenging season?” Below, you will find links to service and donation opportunities with our community partners, so please look over the list and help where you are able.
While things may seem scary or uncertain, we can each offer hope by serving someone in Jesus’ name. Thank you for sharing God’s love in tangible ways with our neighbors in need!
Thanks to the generous gifts of our church family, Stonebriar financially supports 26 missionaries around the world, helping people of all nations experience the saving love of Jesus. In partnership with organizations like Global Aid Network, WorldVenture, and many others, our missionaries work to share the Gospel by building friendships, meeting needs, and teaching God’s Word.
Please pray for the work of our missionaries, especially as the world is impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. To help financially support our missionaries and other outreach opportunities, you can give online and select the Missions gift fund. If you would like to learn more about our missionaries, please reach out to Pastor Keith Tyler at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re having fun in our Facebook group, and we want you to be a part of it! We share updates on how our church family is caring for our community, post needs and stories from our local ministry partners, and offer encouragement from our Missional Living team. Our group is private so that everyone feels safe to share in it, but please send us a request to join so we can get you connected.
