Special Needs

encouraging everyone, regardless of abilities, to worship, learn, and serve

Our Purpose

Our ministry for those with special needs is called GIFT: God Is Faithful Throughout. We nurture students’ desire for a Savior and develop their faith; we teach them that they are created in the image of God and they are designed for a purpose; we guide them along the winding road to independence; and we help prepare them for a fulfilling future.

Your Next Step

If you’re new to our ministry, welcome! Join us on Sunday mornings during either service time. There’s no need to pre-register, but if you would like to share information before your first visit, please fill out this form. If you’d like, we can also arrange for a tour prior to your visit. Feel free to explore what we offer and contact us with any questions.

If you do not attend Stonebriar but would like to receive information about our programs and events for people with special needs, sign up to receive our e-mail updates.

Sunday Mornings

For Visitors

Children and adults with special needs are welcome to attend any of Stonebriar’s programs independently; we may also arrange for a buddy to help them in a class or they may join one of our dedicated classrooms. In each area, we strive to transition each student toward more independence.

Children’s Suite

ages 11 and younger in Room C101 at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

Three rooms allow for play time, large-muscle movement, and quiet retreats. Outside is a playground designed for all abilities. Children learn Bible truths through stories, crafts and by attending Early Childhood Ministry’s large group worship time.

Tweener’s Suite

ages 12-17 in Room B151 at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

Three rooms provide areas for social interaction, learning and quiet time. Many join Student Ministries’ worship and lesson time, while others learn Bible lessons in class. Teens often play games or just enjoy some fresh air in an outdoor, fenced area.

John 9:3 Class

ages 18+ in Room A104A at 10:45 a.m.

Students in this class attend worship during the first hour and class during the second hour. During class, these students deepen their faith and friendships through Bible lessons, discussions, prayer, worship, and fellowship.

Special Needs Family Fellowship Class

ages 18+ in room A104C at 10:45 a.m.
