Recovery Groups

If you are struggling, come as you are and see that you are not alone. Together, we can find recovery. We host a variety of traditional recovery groups on our campus and would love to serve and care for you. Below, you can find a general schedule or search our listing of recovery group events that are meeting this week.

Traditional Recovery Groups

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. Learn more at aa.org.

The Frisco Group (meets in SCC Portable C building)

  • Monday–Friday: 7 a.m., Noon, 5:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. (women only) & 6:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 7:30 p.m.

Al-Anon

Al-Anon helps and brings hope to families and friends of alcoholics. Learn more at al-anon.org.

Stonebriar does not currently host Al-Anon meetings, but to find a meeting near you, search Dallas area meetings.

Co-Dependents Anonymous

Co-Dependents Anonymous is a program of recovery from codependence, where each of us may share our experience, strength, and hope in our efforts to find freedom where there has been bondage and peace where there has been turmoil in our relationships with others and ourselves. Men’s Co-Dependency Support Group (meets in SCC Portable B building)

  • Saturday: 9–10 a.m.

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA) is a program based on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Learn More at foodaddicts.org.

FA Group (meets in SC Portable B building)

  • Tuesday: 6:30–8 p.m.

Sex Addicts Anonymous

Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so they may overcome their sexual addiction and help others recover from sexual addiction or dependency. Learn more at saa-recovery.org.

SAA Group (meets in SCC Portable D building)

  • Monday–Friday: Noon–1:00 p.m.

Taking Action Group of McKinney (meets at First Baptist Church, 1615 W. Louisiana Pkwy, Portable 2, McKinney)

  • Saturday: 8:30–9:30 a.m.

Overcomers

Overcomers is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery group. Participants struggle with a variety of issues—food, sex, drugs, alcohol, codependency, etc.

Re:generation

Re:generation is 12-step discipleship through recovery. By working through these biblical steps within an authentic community, people have found freedom from many personal struggles. Learn more and find a group at regenerationrecovery.org.
