As missionaries with WorldVenture, Jason and Mandy Post focus on church planting, leadership development, and missionary care. They were called to this area of missions due to the lack of Gospel witness in the West of Ireland, and the Lord has used their experiences there to sanctify them and deepen the Gospel message in their own lives. They are grateful for the love and support Stonebriar Community Church shows them.
Jason and Mandy grew up in DeSoto, a suburb south of Dallas, and attended Texas A&M University. They met in the second grade and thought each other had cooties until high school when they began dating. They dated through university and married in 1997 after graduation, when Mandy went to work full time while Jason began his Masters in Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary. While at seminary, their hearts were drawn from church planting in the States to church planting in a global context, which led them to Galway, Ireland, in 2003. All of their children were born in Ireland, and life there feels more normal now than life in the States. So be careful if you ever see them driving around Frisco, because they might be on the left side of the road!
Hobbies & Interests:
The Post family loves homemade Tex-Mex, ice cream, and good burgers. If they are reading for fun, Jason enjoys history or biographies (especially written by Robert A. Caro), and Mandy likes memoirs with wit and sentiment. Emma enjoys sweet romance novels, and Zoe likes mysteries that keep you guessing. Ruby enjoys heartfelt stories with real-life situations and historical fiction, and Wyatt likes a good graphic novel that keeps him laughing or books about mythical creatures. Jason and Mandy like the color blue while Emma likes lilac, Zoe likes pink and purple, Ruby likes green and blue, and Wyatt likes navy. As a family, they enjoy playing games together like Ticket to Ride, Code Names, word games, and escape rooms.
Jason enjoys reading, golf, woodworking, and watching American football (when he can) and rugby. Mandy finds pleasure in running, swimming, gardening, and meeting friends for coffee or walks. Emma loves painting, soccer, singing, and sea swimming with friends. Zoe likes to bake, create great music playlists, and work with children. Ruby is an avid horseback rider, musician, Gaelic footballer, and storyteller. Wyatt enjoys playing rugby, being outdoors, and playing the drums.
