Cathy Douglass serves as Director of Naya Jeevan, a ministry of Cru that offers strategies, resources, and training to mobilize Christians to share the Good News about Jesus with their Indian neighbors. “Naya Jeevan” means “new life” in Hindi, one of the top five most-spoken languages in the world.

Cathy was born in Hollywood, California, grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and attended college at Cal State Northridge. During college, Cathy met her husband, John, through involvement with Cru, and the two served together in Kenya from 1981 to 2002. They have four children: Annie (and her husband Floyd), Jimmy (and his wife Erin and four children Sienna, Seth, Nathan, and Benji), Lisa, and Julie. After ministering in Kenya, Cathy and John lived in Florida for 10 years and have now been in the Dallas area since 2016.

Hobbies & Interests: Cathy loves to read books, particularly on the topics of missions and world cultures, as well as historical and international fiction. In her spare time, she also enjoys Bible journaling, doing crafts such as diamond art and adult coloring books, and listening to classical music and hymns.
