In 2024, our church family has a special, hands-on opportunity to give hope to a family in need. We’re excited to announce that our church is partnering with Buckner International to build a house for one of Buckner’s Family Hope Centers.
Right here on the Stonebriar Community Church campus in Frisco, we will begin constructing a house that will be transported to the Buckner Family Hope Center in Peñitas, Texas. This house will give a family in need more than a place to stay—it will give them hope for a brighter future.
Get Involved
- Volunteer on the building team here in Frisco.
On Saturday mornings, January 20–February 24, we’ll have volunteer shifts where you can help build the house’s foundation, floor, and walls. Sign up for 1-2 shifts per person. - Give financially to help fund this ministry.
If you would like to make a donation to help fund building materials and other costs for the Build Hope project and Buckner International, please designate your gift as follows:- Give Online: On our giving page, please verify Missions as the gift fund, and Build Hope Project under Add Optional Gift Description.
- Give by Check, Cash, or Money Order: Please write Build Hope Project on the memo line of your check or contribution envelope (available at information desks around our church campus). Visit our Ways to Give page for details on mailing or dropping off donations.
- Join our Go Trip to Peñitas, Texas.
On March 9–15, a team from our church will travel to Buckner’s Family Hope Center in the Rio Grande Valley to help with the final phase of construction and other service projects. - Pray for the family receiving this house and for all Family Hope Center participants.
Please pray that God would work in their lives through the center’s services, rescue them through the Gospel, protect their children, and give them new hope and purpose.
Meet the Meza Family
We are so looking forward to providing a home for the Meza family through Build Hope this year. The Meza family—including the mother, Maria, and her children: Daniel (18), Brisa (14), and Isaac (6)—was introduced to Buckner and entered the Family Hope Center in 2019. Seeking financial advice through classes and support for being the sole provider for her family, Maria found the support she needed not only for herself, but for her entire family.
Maria juggles her work as a house cleaner with homeschooling Isaac, who is on the spectrum and has learning differences. Both Brisa and Daniel hope to attend college in the near future. Please join us in praying for the Meza family over the coming weeks as we build and present their new home. May each of them feel the love of Christ and respond to Him with faith and joy.
