Joshua 1:1-9

Forty years after Moses’ encounter with God at the burning bush, his mission was accomplished. By God’s power and direction, Moses had led the Hebrews out of Egypt, made it to the edge of Canaan, and earned the people’s respect. Now, it was time for someone else to step in and lead the people into Canaan. That daunting task required another wake-up call that we’ll learn from this Sunday—a call given to a man named Joshua.
