Easter at Stonebriar

Celebrate Holy Week With Us
Easter: Celebrate with Us

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth to save us. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins on the cross, then rose from the dead, ensuring eternal life for all who believe in Him. This is the story of Easter. Whether you’ve never heard about Jesus or you know the Gospel story by heart, come and experience God’s love for you this Easter season. Join us for Holy Week worship services on our church campus or online, and use the resources below to discover the miracle of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

Easter Guide: Our King Has Come

Download and print this Easter guide as our gift to you.

Reflect on the story of Jesus with our Easter devotional journal, Our King Has Come.

When Easter arrives, we reach the climax of Jesus’ story, the reason why He came—the cross, the grave, and the empty tomb. As we approach Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, you’re invited to reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God—simply download your copy below, or visit any information desk around our church campus to pick up a printed guide.

Easter Reflections

The sorrow and triumph of the Easter story stirs our hearts to worship God with all that we have. As you honor Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, enjoy these artistic reflections on the Easter story from members of our church family.

On the Third Day: Easter Symphony

Composed by Stonebriar Member Steve Stück & Performed by the Stonebriar Sanctuary Orchestra

If you’re unfamiliar with the Easter story or wish to revisit it before listening to the symphony, we encourage you to read Luke 22-24. If you have questions about Jesus or what His story means for you, our staff would love to talk with you—reach out to connect@stonebriar.org today.

Hope Lives

Written by Susan Jacobson

In that dark moment, He went to the grave.
Jesus, our Savior, He came to save.
An innocent Man, convicted by lies,
Surrounded by hate, but still paid the price,
And as the sun rose, a hope filled the air
For His entombed body no longer was there!
He was risen—IS risen—He conquered death;
Our bond to sin broken, our punishment met.
There is light in the darkness—the salvation He gives,
And today we rejoice, for Christ Jesus lives!

Taking Communion at Home

If you are worshipping online with us this Good Friday, we encourage you to participate in the Lord’s Table with us. To take communion at home, set aside some crackers and juice, or use anything you have on hand—the intention of your heart matters more than the elements you use.

As you prepare to take communion, quiet your heart and begin by reading Luke 22:14-20.

Spend some time in silence considering what Christ went through to deliver us from the penalty of sin. If you are observing communion with your family, discuss with your children what it means that Christ died for us.

When you are ready, eat the cracker and drink the juice, which symbolize Jesus’ body and blood shed for us. End your time in prayer, praising God for all He has done for you and all He has promised to do for you in the future.
