On October 14, 2018, we celebrated 20 years of God’s faithfulness to our church. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us, and thank you most of all for being a part of our church family. If you missed our special worship service or want to share it with others, you can watch the recording below.
Our 20th anniversary was an encouraging, inspiring celebration we can all remember for years to come. During our worship service, we praised our Lord together in song, heard stories of how He is at work in our church, prayed in both Spanish and English, and listened to a message from Pastor Chuck about what Jesus would say to our church today. Afterward, we baptized 46 people and enjoyed a day of fun and fellowship.
In the fullness of our joy, please join us in thanking God for all He has done in our church, and ask Him what role He wants you to play in our future. We want every member of our church to be fully invested through connecting and serving, so prayerfully consider how you can be a part of our mission to love God and love others for the next 20 years and beyond.
We want to mark this occasion with our whole church family together in one place, so we will have only one worship service on October 14. Sunday Fellowships and programs for kids and teens will not meet, but childcare is available for those ages birth through preschool. Spanish translation receivers can be picked up at the information desk near the Circle Drive entrance. Remote parking is available at Hunt Middle School and Insight for Living, and shuttle service will be offered to and from those lots beginning at 8 a.m.
Part of our celebration will include a baptism of several kids and adults in our church family. Those who have placed their trust in Christ are eligible for baptism and must complete a class to prepare for this meaningful step in their faith. Registration for the 20th Anniversary baptism classes has ended, but if you are interested in future baptism dates, reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and explore our baptism page to learn more.
Since we are having a churchwide celebration for our 20th Anniversary, we’re doing something a little different this fall. Instead of hosting our usual Fall Festival, we want you to be at home and focus on the people right outside your front door: your neighbors. This month, please pray about and look for opportunities to interact with, encourage, and befriend the people in your neighborhood. Here are some simple ideas to get you started:
This is our challenge for you: pray over these ideas, choose at least one way to meet and engage with your neighbors this month, and follow through. If every person in our church reaches out to just one neighbor, 5,000+ people in our community could experience God’s love—maybe for the first time.
Our annual Fall Festival will return in October 2019.
