This new Connection series reports on the progress God has given to Stonebriar groups whose behind-the-scenes service is indispensable. This first story focuses on the Finance Department, which is directed by Lorie Bradshaw, reports to Senior Executive Director Carol Spencer, and is staffed by Darlene Burner, Patricia Pitts, Kenna Smith, and Susan Wedel, as well as several faithful ministry partners.

 

One of the Finance Department’s recent accomplishments is the implementation of online giving. In January 2005, online gifts to Stonebriar totaled $100. A year later, online giving for the month of December topped $200,000.

 

Finance has worked hard to adapt to members’ changing needs. They moved event registration online and converted quarterly giving statements from paper to e-mail format.

 

The Finance staff also has left their imprint on the Impact campaign. Stonebriar could not construct its new building without their good work, including online pledging and giving, financial analyses, and cash flow projections.
