Women’s retreat: A time to fellowship, unwind, and nurture your soul

The April 1315 retreat will feature speaker Jackie Kendall, author of "Say Goodbye to Shame" and "Lady in Waiting."

The 2007 women's spring retreat focuses on making F.U.N.—time for women to Fellowship, Unwind, and Nurture their souls.

The retreat will be held at the Lakeview Conference Center in Waxahachie, Texas, on April 13–15.

“This retreat will help women unwind from the rush of city life, spend time in fellowship, and drink in natural beauty and divine truth that will nurture their spirits,” said Keely Moulder, retreat chair.

According to Keely, Lakeview offers several advantages. Unlike the city hotels that housed past retreats, it will accommodate more than 300 women. A variety of rooming options allows Stonebriar to offer registration fees starting at $95 per person.

Located 45 minutes south of Dallas, Waxahachie offers an escape from the city, beautiful scenery, and quaint downtown shopping.

The retreat speaker is Jackie Kendall, president of Power to Grow Ministries. Her books include Lady in Waiting, Say Goodbye to Shame, and The Mentoring Mom.

“Jackie has a knack for conveying God’s Word in a relaxed, humorous, but effective manner,” said Keely, who encouraged all Stonebriar women to register for the retreat.

“You don’t have to be involved in other women’s programs to attend the retreat,” she said. “Sign up to share a room or carpool from your neighborhood. This is a great chance to begin friendships that will last well beyond the retreat.”

Early registration is February 25–March 8 at www.stonebriar.org (keyword: WomensRetreat). Registration ends March 28. For more information or to volunteer to help, contact Women’s Ministries at 469-252-5241 or by e-mail to WomenStonebriarorg.
