Adult fellowship serves on Sundays

- Titus II Fellowship members Katie and Jon Howard enjoy serving in Stonebriars nursery.
“Our problems would be solved.” They are unequivocal words. Crissy Young knows what she’s talking about. As assistant nursery coordinator, she knows that Stonebriar children’s classes could stop turning away kids if all adult fellowships followed the lead of the Titus II Fellowship.
Every Sunday, couples from Titus II serve in the nursery. In all, 25 couples are serving—some once a month, others twice. Their impact is great, but the need remains.
“It’s amazing how many children we turn away each Sunday because of a shortage of adult workers,” said Crissy. Legally, Stonebriar must have one adult for every three infants in the nursery. Older classes must have one adult for every five children.
The Titus II Fellowship saw the need and decided to focus their service on Children’s Ministries.
“We wanted to take an active role in helping care for all the new infants, especially since many belong to our class members,” said Mark Stone, a Titus II class teacher. “The lesson is that every adult fellowship can make the same commitment to Children’s Ministries.”
Debi Stone, also a Titus II mentor, said, “Think of what would happen if everyone at Stonebriar took nursery duty. How blessed we all would be!”
