God blesses Stonebriar behind the scenes
This Connection series reports on how God has blessed the work of Stonebriar staff behind the scenes. This month’s story focuses on those who keep SCC’s building and facilities safe, efficient, and in good repair.
Two managers oversee this work: Marge Ditka, facilities manager and special events coordinator, and Chris Whitson, building manager. Their hard-working staff includes Silvana Arroyo, Jimmy Clark, Eric Collins, George Hicks, and Jared Whatley.
The staff and their ministry partners manage everything from room set-up to parking. In an average week, they set up nearly 100 rooms for classes, meetings, and other events.
With a facility as large as Stonebriar’s, every decision has significant impact. For instance, the staff installed a water pump that freed SCC from dependence on city water, saving the church thousands of dollars each month.
