Marriage Core on Tuesday Nights
6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Not just a marriage class...a marriage community.
Good marriages don't just happen. A marriage can only thrive if Jesus Christ is intimately involved. At Marriage Core, we want to accompany you on a journey that will transform your relationship with God as an individual and as a couple.
This experience is much more than a class—it is a commitment to strengthening your marriage. We help you focus on growing your individual relationships with the Lord so your marriage can reap the benefits of a healthy spiritual life. Whether you are happily married—or maybe not so much—anyone is welcome to join for a time of teaching, community, and accountability with other couples.
Each week at Marriage Core, couples begin with a time of pastoral teaching or testimonies by a couple who understand the struggles every marriage experiences. This is followed by small group discussions using a curriculum developed by a Dallas Theological Seminary professor. These sessions are designed to foster community and open communication with other couples as you work through the curriculum together. Through this process, you will find yourself growing stronger in your walk with the Lord and forging new friendships with other couples.
Marriage Core meets every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in B241-B242. You may join any week, and registration is not necessary to attend.
Childcare is available, and we request that you register for childcare. Click here to register online.

Marriage Core Testimonial
Marriage Core was a boot camp for our marriage. For so many years we were focused on God and building our marriage. We were training daily by praying together, reading the Word of God, attending Bible studies, and serving at our church. After kids came, a move, and adjusting to another phase of life we got lazy and were not pursuing our relationship with the Lord or each other. We thought that we could coast along on our previous training and that would get us through and be enough. But it was not. Our relationship became weak and out of shape. Our communication was limited, and it was a struggle to even be in the same room. We were making choices that were not glorifying to God, and we were living a lifestyle that we had worked so hard to avoid. We were vulnerable to the attacks of Satan and were not properly outfitted for battle. Satan was ready to pounce. We were in denial about how much we were struggling and even justified our behavior. We had a wake-up call when one of our friends announced they were getting a divorce. We were broken by the news.
We started to take a look at our marriage and saw our foundation was crumbling, so we decided to do something to repair the damage. We started attending Marriage Core. It was tough getting back in shape, but the large group time with guest speakers, the encouragement of our facilitators, and support of our small group helped us develop a stronger marriage, strengthened by communication, love, commitment, prayer, and reading the Bible. As we worked through the study, each week we came face to face with the issues we were struggling with and began to rebuild our foundation. As a result, our marriage has become stronger.
We are excited to be training together and growing by making devotion time a priority, as well as praying together nightly and attending a couples' Bible study. Our marriage is getting in shape! -Troy and Sondra Taylor
