Going through a divorce is tremendously stressful for everyone involved. DivorceCare, and Posse 8:28 are a 13-week small-group programs that offer you and your children support from others who have experienced divorce.  The groups provide guidance from those who understand the difficulties involved. Videos and small-group discussions offer a Christ-centered focus on topics such as loneliness, anger, and forgiveness.

We offer DivorceCare twice a year, beginning in September and January. We meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. in room A211/213 that allows for privacy and open, honest discussion. It helps to start at the beginning of a 13-week class cycle, but please feel free to join us at any time.

Posse 8:28

"DivorceCare 4 Kids" has been replaced with "Posse 8:28," a 13-week class meeting in room A214/216 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday nights.  Sessions run concurrent with adult DivorceCare, using locally developed curriculum that follows the story of Ishmael, the first child of divorce recorded in Scripture.  Students will participate in physical exercise, create a personal art project, and join together to write and perform a play in conjuction with presentation of the Bible story from Genesis 16:1-17:27; 21:1-21; 25:1-18.

Class size is limited to 12 boys and girls, ages 8-13.  We prefer that one parent participate in the DivorceCare class, but this is not required.  Cost for materials is $12 per student.  Scholarships and family discounts are available.
