Foundations for Marriage

Foundations for Marriage is a Sunday morning class designed for those who are considering engagement or marriage. This nine week class is an interactive look at God’s design and purpose for marriage and all that it involves. We offer Foundations for Marriage twice a year on Sunday mornings at 10:45.

Steps to Joining the Premarital Class

  1. Consider attending the next class.

Prayerfully make plans to attend the next class, which will meet on Sundays, February 21–April 25, 2010. It is important to attend as many of the nine sessions as possible.

  2. Register and pay.

Register online January 1–February 19, 2010, or call 469-252-5226. Pay the fee ($75 per couple) when you register online. This covers the cost of materials, which you will receive at the classes.

  3. Attend the classes.

You can confirm the meeting room number at the Information Desk in the Atrium. The group meeting time and room number also are displayed on television monitors inside the main entrances of the buildings.

Questions About the Class?

If you have questions about Foundations for Marriage, call 469-252-5226 or contact us online.

Coach Couple Training

Each year 40–50 couples seek premarital counseling at Stonebriar. Most of them participate in Foundations for Marriage (FFM), our premarital ministry. Would you consider, as a couple, being a point of connection and grace for those who will attend our FFM class? There is a need and opportunity for married couples to serve as Coach Couples to those attending the FFM class.

Coach Couple Training is held at various times throughout the year. If you would like to register for future training sessions, please contact 469-252-5226.

The training will teach the purpose, process, and requirements. Serving as a Coach Couple is more relational than informational: authenticity, not perfection, is desired. As a Coach Couple, you simply provide a safe and welcoming environment for your assigned couple to consider marriage.
