Internships
Internships at Stonebriar are a ministry training program that contributes to the spiritual, personal, and professional development of men and women ministry leaders. The internship program uses the assets and the environment of the church to create a unique learning experience. Our program complements formal, academic training through personal accountability and evaluation, guided part-time ministry experience, and group interaction.
Qualifications
- A potential intern must be currently involved in professional ministry training at an academic institution.
- A potential intern needs to be a regular attendee or member of SCC for a minimum of six months.
- A potential intern needs to have existing observed ministry involvement at SCC.
- A potential intern needs to meet Stonebriar Community Church’s normal requirements for employment as a ministry employee as outlined in the SCC Employee Handbook.
- The Pastor or Pastoral Leader in your focus area of ministry needs to initiate the request for internship. Meet with them prior to completing an application.
Goal
The goal of of this ministry is to have the interns participate in the "church body life" at Stonebriar. The interns' participation will orient them to the breadth of ministry and focus of ministry at Stonebriar. They will be participating in various ministries to observe and be involved.
Internships are established in six month increments: July 1–December 31 and January 1–June 30. The maximum length of an internship is two years (four periods of six months).

Assess Your Qualifications
Assess whether you qualify for the Internship Program. (See qualifications above.)
The Pastor or Pastoral Leader in your focus area of ministry must initiate the request for internship. Please meet with them prior to completing the application. They will send their approval to the ministry office.

Download and fill out the Internship Application Form.

Submit the Application
Submit your application to the Pastor or Pastoral Leader in your area of interest.

Application Review
You will be notified by the ministry training office after your application has been approved.
