Short-Term Missions

Our short-term missions will always have certain characteristics that help define the places we minister. The preparation to be part of a short-term mission team will be extensive. Each team will have eight or more training sessions to prepare for various aspects of their trip. We believe it is in the best interest of the mission field for us to bring spiritually prepared people, capable of performing the tasks needed.

If you have any questions about the trips, please e-mail ShortTermTrips@Stonebriar.org.

Branson, Missouri (Kids Across America)

March 11–15 • cost: $250 per family*

Children 8 years and older are preferred. Younger children may come with families, but childcare is not provided. Each family provides its own transportation.

Kids Across America (KAA) is a camp staffed by those who are uniquely skilled, qualified, and passionate about reaching inner city children. Our role will be to assist in preparing the camp for the children that come in the summer. Last year our various service opportunities included landscaping, painting, power washing, clearing fallen trees, carpentry, and cleaning.

The cost of $250 per family covers all meals and lodging at KAA. The rooms have various sleeping arrangements; some have bunk beds, some have queen beds, some have foldout sofas. The rooms will be assigned when you arrive. All the bedding is provided, but we recommend that you bring extra blankets and pillows.

 Suggested items to pack:

  • Towels are provided but bring more if desired
  • Work clothes (gloves, boots, warm clothes, etc.)
  • Clothes for evening devotions
  • Bible and notebook
