Go in Love
There is a vast difference in knowing about something and experiencing something. This is definitely true when we talk about the gospel. Experiencing the power of being loved, forgiven and cared for is life changing. Stonebriar Missions will reach out to the marginalized, abandoned, abused, and discarded in love. We want them to be changed by the caring, loving touch of the gospel message being lived out in our ministry. The Apostle Paul summed it up the best when he says in 1 Corinthians 9:22, “To the weak, I became weak. . . so that I may by all means save some.”
Children’s Ministries – There are hundreds of millions of children living in desolate, unspeakable conditions. Stonebriar Missions seeks to reach out to those who can absolutely be called the least of these. Stonebriar supports multiple orphanages and ministries that primarily reach out to children.
One example is the Safe Haven Home for Girls in Beirut, Lebanon. The abuse of children is a plague that exists on every continent in the world. Safe Haven attempts to rebuild the lives of girls who have endured this horror by providing the loving care they have been lacking, and by teaching the girls the love of God.
Medical Ministry – One of the most amazing models of missions is to care for the physical health of individuals and families that have little hope for relief apart from the faithfulness of those acting in the power of God’s love. Stonebriar Missions is very thankful for the opportunity to partner with several organizations who literally serve as the hands and feet of Jesus.
Microfinance – A newer model of helping those with less is to help them achieve success in a venture of their own. Stonebriar partners with Opportunity International to provide micro loans to groups of women. The profits from these new businesses help to provide meals, education, and a better life for their families.
