Frisco Family Services Center
Stonebriar's Community Care Ministry provides opportunities to experience community within our church and encourages individuals to serve the Frisco area in real and practical ways. One way to serve the community is by partnering with Frisco Family Services Center. In the past year, FFSC saw a 52 percent increase in new families seeking assistance.
Through FFSC we can reach out with love to our neighbor in tangible ways to provide food, clothes, furniture, and even emergency assistance to low-income households in Frisco.
How You Can Help
Serving provides a rewarding opportunity for the people of Frisco to reach out to other residents in a meaningful way.
- Frisco Food Pantry: Take the food pantry list to the grocery store to help you choose foods to donate to the food pantry. All items should be taken directly to the food pantry at 8780 3rd Street (corner of 3rd and Elm) which is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. and Wednesday until 6 p.m.
- Frisco Resale Store: Frisco Resale Store sells donated furniture, appliances, household goods, clothing, and toys. FFSC provides vouchers to qualified families and individuals to shop in the stores. All proceeds are used to help fund programs provided by the agency. See their Donation Guidlines Policies. The new Frisco Resale store is now open. You can visit them at 9125 Dogwood Street Frisco, Texas 75034.
- Community Garden: You are invited to become a part of FFSC Community Garden with their Adopt A Plot program. There are 2 levels of membership available: Gardeners: $20 membership fee; 10 hours per month volunteer time plus additional work days as necessary. Harvesters: $0 membership; Perform duties such as harvesting, tend to compost, organize tool shed, monitor garden.
