Ministry to Homeless in South Dallas

The Cornerstone Baptist Church is located in the inner-city community of South Dallas. For more than 45 years, the church has been committed to touching the lives of residents in this neighborhood by meeting felt needs and sharing with them their real need — a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Cornerstone also works in partnership with churches, corporations, and individuals to leverage and maximize their people and financial resources in order to "let their light shine before men." You are invited to join us as we serve "the least, the last, and the lost."
Homeless Ministry Outreach/Luncheon
The Cornerstone Kitchen serves eight meals a week to nearly 6,000 homeless and needy each month. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they lead a Bible study then serve lunch to about 150 people. Our desire is not simply to provide a meal but to serve the homeless with a personal touch of care and concern.
The Clothing/Shower Complex
The shower complex provides clean clothing and a shower to about 800 homeless men and women each month. Some of the most critical needs are: men's jeans (all sizes), large backpacks or tote bags, and undergarments.
We are committed to taking a team to Cornerstone the third Saturday of every month to serve at the clothing shower complex, as well as to help with the Cornerstone Kids. If you are interested in learning more about how you can help minister to the homeless and working poor of South Dallas, you can e-mail Karen at KarenHStonebriar.org or sign-up here to join us on our next trip to South Dallas.
