Go and Be
Community Care Happens Every Day.
Use the gifts and resources God has given you to show the love of Christ to those in need. Check out what we are doing on an ongoing basis.
C-Kids: Every Saturday, we serve the inner-city children at Cornerstone Baptist Church from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Our desire is to provide a safe place where kids can experience the joy and love of Christ. Our time together includes fun and creative activities, encouragement in the Word, and a yummy lunch. Sign up here to join us on Saturdays.
Good News Clubs: Imagine what it would look like if every elementary school in our community had a Good News Club. Click here to learn more and sign up to serve.
Homeless: We take a team to Cornerstone in South Dallas the third Saturday of every month to serve at the clothing/shower complex. This provides the basic needs of clean clothing and a shower to about 800 men and women each month. Additionally, we assist The Samaritan Inn, Collin County's homeless program, which helps individuals and families regain their independence.
Frisco families: We help Frisco Family Services accomplish their mission, which is to provide social services to individuals and families in need and assist them in becoming productive members of the Frisco community.
Elderly: Join our care teams as they minister to the elderly at the communities of Parkview and Prairie Estates. Opportunities include weekly Bible studies, monthly worship services, and visiting one on one with residents.
Special Event: Comfort and Joy
Each Christmas, we create gift bags for the homeless in South Dallas. We will be collecting donations at our Comfort & Joy kiosk November 26-December 10 to provide gifts for those who need extra encouragement.
Please consider giving the following items for gift bags.
• Winter hats
• Lip balm
• Hand cream, travel size
• Christmas cards
When donating, please include only adult sizes of socks, gloves, and winter hats.
God is at work beyond the walls of our church, and we get to be a part of it! God has placed people on your day-to-day path who need to see the love of Christ. Take time to look for ways to love your neighbor this holiday season. Going Christmas caroling, meeting people at office parties, giving special treats to a neighbor or coworker...the opportunities are endless!
