Wednesday Bible Studies
Join us for life-changing studies in small groups that refresh, challenge, and grow our faith. Get connected with a small group of women as you study the Word together. Experience worship and drama designed to lead you into the presence of God, followed by a teaching time presenting practical truths that we can apply to our everyday lives. We offer two meeting times for Wednesday Bible studies—morning and evening. We meet September through May, with breaks during the Christmas holidays.
Spring 2012 Studies: January 18 - April 25
Our spring Bible studies begin on Wednesday, January 18, and continue through April 25. You can choose to attend either in the morning or evening by registering online.
Enabling Power: Acts of the Apostles. Offered morning, 9:30-11:30 a.m. or evening, 6:30-8 p.m.
Acts is the hinge book of the New Testament, standing between the gospel accounts and the epistles to the churches. Luke writes the continuing story as the first century Christians lived out their faith and the church was formed. Join us as we study about this remarkable period of history and see how the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit plays a key role as the gospel moves forth from Jerusalem into the world. We’ll discover together all we have in common with those first century Christians, the resources we have, and the impact we can have as we live out our faith. There is a lot for us to learn about God’s overall purposes for our lives, our communities, and His church.
Purchase your study guide for $10 when you first attend.
What Did You Expect? Written by Paul David Tripp Offered morning, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
In our everyday experience, we are bombarded by all kinds of ideas about marriage and family. This study on marriage, written by Paul David Tripp, is a practical help for strengthening marriages. As Tripp says, “More couples than I can number have been surprised that their marriage needs the regular rescue of grace. And because they did not take the Bible seriously, they were caught short in that moment, when the rubber meets the road in daily life, where grace was their only hope….” Join us as we explore the realities of marriage and the hope that God gives in His Word.
Praying With Confidence. Offered morning, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
For those that struggle in prayer or want to deepen their prayer lives, this study will encourage and inspire you to view prayer as a much-anticipated delight. We will learn much about prayer, how to listen to God, why God covets our prayers and the key elements associated with a healthy prayer life. We will also pray! Join us as we learn to love to pray.
