Student Ministries Mission
The teen years mark a key transitional stage in life. Moving from childhood to adulthood is an upheaval! But God uses times of change to bring great growth. That’s where the Student Ministries staff comes alongside parents—helping young men and women know God intimately, read His Word accurately, share and defend their faith, serve others, and develop deep relationships.
Junior High Ministry
The mission of Stonebriar’s Junior High Ministry parallels the church’s: To glorify God by encouraging our students to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. We are serious about serving junior high students, providing them with experiences, teaching, and relationships that encourage a life of love, obedience, and service to our Savior.
Our mission is pursued through a variety of programs and events that seek to fulfill four core mission targets:
- Worship/Prayer—to engage in corporate worship and prayer.
- Word of God—to provide in-depth and developmentally appropriate biblical instruction.
- Community/Fellowship—to create an atmosphere that fosters significant friendships and relationships.
- Service—to serve others inside and outside our church in service to our King.
We are committed to providing a foundational experience that we pray the Holy Spirit will use in the lives of our junior high students to grow them into mature Christian adults living in obedience and service to Jesus Christ.
High School Ministry
For most people, high school brings back either good memories or bad memories. Those memories are forged from experiences that center on relationships. Though the culture seems to have shifted from absolutes to relativism, one thing that has not changed is that high school students need the consistency of committed relationships.
