Baptism Class
This two-part class helps fifth- through sixth-grade children prepare for baptism. The class is open to children in that age range who have trusted Christ as Savior.
Led by Preteen Pastor Joe Harms, classes are held on the Tuesday evenings prior to baptism. We also offer a baptism class for children and a class for teens and adults.
Steps to Enrolling Your Preteen
-
Talk to your preteen.
If your preteen has trusted Christ as Savior, talk to him or her about taking this class. Baptism should be a personal decision, and it is not a requirement for salvation nor for attending Stonebriar.
-
Choose a class.
2008 Baptism Service Dates
- Baptism service is January 27, class begins January 15.
- Baptism service is April 20, class begins April 8.
- Baptism service is July 27, class begins July 22.
(All dates are subject to change.)
-
Register before the class begins.
Pick up a registration form at one of the Children’s Information Booths on Sunday mornings or download from this site. The booths are located in the lobby and just left of the elevators on the second floor. Fill out the form and submit it via mail, fax (469-252-5390), or in person to the main office or Children’s Ministries office.
-
Make plans to attend the class.
You will receive confirmation of your registration, which will include class dates, times, and room locations. After the class concludes, your child can choose to participate in the quarterly baptism service on the following Sunday evening.
