children's education building update

- The exterior walls of Stonebriar's Children's Education Building are in place and construction continues.
Stonebriar's Children’s Education Building is well underway. Each week a new element of construction finds a place inside the walls of the 60,000-square-foot building. Construction crews recently finished steel work and began pouring the second-floor deck.
Thanks to the generosity of this congregation, the project is on schedule, with completion set for this coming winter. Once completed, the building will provide needed space for preschool children and those with special needs. In addition, it will open up areas throughout our current Education Building, providing more rooms for students, upper elementary, Hispanic Ministries, and many classes.
"We eagerly look forward to the new opportunities for ministry to children and parents," said Gary Siefers, pastor of Children's Ministries. One area that will see tremendous benefit is Stonebriar's Mother's Day Out program. "Ultimately, we will double our current space for Mother's Day Out, which is one of the main avenues for new families coming to our church. This building will also put us in a much more secure, custom-built setting as we continue carrying out ministry to children," he added.
As of April 1, we have received approximately 80 percent of the funds needed for construction. An additional $1.2 million is still needed to see this project through to completion.
