Sunday Elementary
Kindergarten Through 4th Grade
The overview below explains Elementary programs. Your child will find welcoming arms and biblical instruction in classes offered during all three worship services—8, 9:30, and 11:15 a.m. We also have Sunday programs preschool children, preteens (fifth- and sixth-graders), and for children with special needs.
Sunday Mornings: Fall 2007-Spring 2008
From Fall 2007 through Spring 2008, we offer the following programs on Sunday mornings. Summer 2007 will feature a new program, but classes will still be offered at all three services.
A.M. Live (8 a.m.)
The “early bird catches the Word” is the motto for A.M. Live, a special program for all elementary children during the 8 a.m. service. Your child will truly “catch the Word” as we use our exciting rotation curriculum. This involves a story unit that goes for four to six weeks. Each of these weeks, the children hear the same story through different perspectives and media, such as, games, crafts, music, cooking, science, and stories.
K-CLUB (9:30 a.m.)
Kindergartners have a special place to call their own at 9:30 a.m. We call it K-CLUB. It is a spin-off of our CLUB program, designed especially for the younger child. K-CLUB leaders are fun and full of energy, and have a special place in their hearts for kindergartners. Your child will feel safe and welcome in a place they can call their own.
Sunday School (9:30 and 11:15 a.m.)
We offer traditional Sunday-school classes at 9:30 a.m. for third and fourth grades and at 11:15 a.m. for kindergarten through second grade. In kindergarten through fourth grades, we use Discipeland curriculum, which provides a solid scriptural foundation for your child. Add teachers who have servant hearts and a love for children, and you have an environment that is a natural draw for your child.
CLUB (9:30 and 11:15 a.m.)
We offer CLUB at 9:30 a.m. for first through second grade and at 11:15 a.m. for third through fifth grade. CLUB is an exciting morning of puppets, drama, and worship that will engage and excite your first- to fifth-grade child. In this large-group format, elementary-age children learn God’s word through creative, loving instruction. As children arrive, they begin their time with games, and then they settle down to structured, yet motivating, teaching and learning.
