Money Management
The Crown Financial Seminar is a 10-week course that teaches men and women to be financially faithful. The goal is not only an improved financial position; it’s knowing Jesus more intimately and being able to serve him more freely. Crown Financial graduates are finding their way out of debt, strengthening relationships with family and God, and becoming consistent savers, generous givers, and prudent consumers.
Groups meet for two hours each week to study what the Bible teaches about money and possessions. Groups are small (10 or fewer people), and they meet in instructors' homes within a short traveling distance from Stonebriar.
Fall 2008 Seminar: September 14–November 16
The fall 2008 seminar is September 14-November 16. Attendance at eight of the ten classes is required. Seminar materials are distributed at an orientation meeting on Sunday, September 7, 3–4 p.m. Online registration will be available beginning Monday, July 28.
Steps to Joining the Money Management Course
1. Pray about your decision to participate.
Completing the course involves weekly homework assignments, memorizing one Bible verse each week, and attending at least eight of the ten classes.
2. Register and pay the course fee.
The course is offered twice yearly through Stonebriar—once in the fall and once in the spring. The fall 2008 seminar meets September 14-November 16. Online registration begins Monday, July 28. The participant fee is $50 per person and $60 per couple.
Register for a small group that meets at the time or location convenient for you.
Frisco: 7–9 p.m., Tuesdays, Sept. 16–Nov. 25. Meets at Stonebriar Community Church.
McKinney: 7–9 p.m., Tuesdays, Sept. 16–Nov. 18. Meets near Stonebridge Drive and Eldorado Parkway.
Murphy: 6–8 p.m., Sundays, Sept. 14–Nov. 16. Meets near 14th Street and Murphy Road.
Plano: 4–6 p.m., Sundays, Sept. 14–Nov. 16. Meets near Hedgecoxe Road and Custer Road.
