God’s Work in Chattisgarh

The work in Chattisgarh, India, focuses on the following areas:

Planting Churches

Home churches and cell groups were planted in an effort to share the Gospel. Pastors and missionaries are working hard, praying fervently, and serving faithfully despite opposition from non-Christians.

Mercy Homes for Orphans

Mercy Homes minister to 120 abandoned, homeless or abused Indian children. These homes provide children with a loving, safe, and Christ-centered environment. Mercy Home children are often top students in their schools; as future leaders they can become a strong Christian influence in India.

Tailoring School for Women

Single and widowed women attend classes to learn the sewing trade. Hundreds of at-risk women have already graduated from the program and are generating income from their new sewing skills. The instructors pray for the women and share the truth of Jesus Christ with them.

Insight for Living Broadcasts

Insight for Living, the Bible-teaching radio ministry of Chuck Swindoll, is available in North India through Trans World Radio (TWR). The program, named Jeevan Ki Khoi, broadcasts on 49 meter band or 5950 kHz short wave at 7:15 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays each week.
