Baptism Class

Stonebriar's Preteen Baptism class is for 5th & 6th graders who are preparing for baptism. This class, usually meeting on two Tuesday evenings from 7-8 p.m., helps preteens understand why followers of Christ should be baptized and what baptism means. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend both classes with their preteens.

Steps to Enrolling Your Preteen

  1. Talk to your preteen.

If your preteen has trusted Christ as Savior, talk to him or her about taking this class. Baptism should be a personal decision, and it is not a requirement for salvation or for attending Stonebriar.

  2. Choose a class.

    Preteen Baptism Class Dates:

    • Tuesday, May 8 from 7-8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 15 from 7-8 p.m.
Sunday, May 20 is the baptism service at 1 p.m.
    • Tuesday, August 7 from 7-8:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 12 is the baptism service at 1 p.m.
    • (All dates are subject to change)

To assure a spot for your preteen in the baptism class we suggest that you complete the registration form one to two months prior to the first class date.

  3. Register before the class begins.

MAY CLASSES: Online registration is now closed.

AUGUST CLASS: Online registration will open on Monday, May 21.

  4. Make plans to attend the class.

Before the class starts, you will receive an e-mail explaining class dates, times, and room location.

After the class concludes, your preteen can choose to participate in the baptism service.
