Liz Loeffler

In 1989, Liz accepted the call for full-time mission work with Biblical Education by Extension Int’l (now known as Entrust4) on loan to them from her sending mission. Arriving just nine days before the Berlin Wall fell, Liz had a front row seat to the collapse of communism and the opening up of a new era in Eastern Europe and throughout the former U.S.S.R.
Since that time she has served in various roles with Entrust in both administration and facilitating women’s groups in Romania, Slovakia, The Czech Republic, and for 15 years in Russia, preparing women for ministry to other women through their local churches.
In December ’09, with the training completely nationalized and self-funded in Russia, with over 50 training locations (from St. Petersburg in the west, to the Caucasus in the south, throughout Siberia and the Arctic Circle in the north, to the Far East city of Vladivostok on the Sea of Japan) and with close to 1,200 women involved in the training, Liz accepted a new position with Entrust (with Greater Europe Mission remaining her sending mission) as Project Administrator, for the Women to Women Ministry Training (WWMT).
WWMT has been so successful for over 25 years in developing local women to resource ministry to women under direction of local church leadership, that other mission agencies have requested training in the WWMT curriculum and multiplication strategy for their missionary women on the field (including several in closed access countries). It has also caught the attention of church leadership in the USA who want to transform their outreach to women in their church, community and beyond through this training.
While now based in Colorado Springs, CO (one of the primary sites in the USA for mission headquarters), Liz has basically gone from Field Coordinator for the WWMT for Russia’s 11 time zones, to Project Administrator for WWMT worldwide! In addition to her administrative responsibilities she will also be serving as facilitator at both the WWMT international and USA training hubs.
Please pray for...
- continued good progress on the data base that I’m working with a professional data base designer to develop, that will track this training worldwide and act as a small administration staff that I hope will free me up to do more facilitating than administrating.
- wisdom whether to pursue another heart ablation for my atrial-fibrillation, which has crept back after seven years since my last one or to attempt to control the heart rate with medication.
- the solid establishment of five USA training hubs and four international hubs (one that could have significant impact into a very strategic region of the creative access countries of the world) by 2012.
- the protection and development of this training already taking place in a country that is still ruled by communism, but where the church is quietly growing and the interest shown in the training is already sweeping through the nation. Pray as translation of the curriculum into the local language is now taking place --- a language that will be useful in many other countries!
Praise that after a very thorough exam of my GI track there are no major issues to deal with, but a few minor ones that I need wisdom in addressing.
