It is more people's views than anything else, but we wouldn't have hired these folks if they didn't agree with the core beliefs we hold true. This blog is a casual forum for polite, open discussion, not a platform for pronouncing doctrine. Know that what you read here is opinion and not the official position or teachings of the church.

Our team in China is doing well. I received this update from them via email.
The week has flown by!!! We can hardly believe the last day of camp is already upon us. All team members are healthy and happy (just very tired). We haven’t had to eat any insects yet.
I received the following update from our team in China. They have had a rough beginning to their trip, but are in safe, rested (now), and anxious to begin their work in Beijing. We have now been in Beijing for 3 days and it’s been a whirlwind of events. We decided before we left Dallas that flexibility and unity were the words of the day. And we have used those words since. We began with what should have been a three and a half hour flight from Dallas to Newark that turned into an 8 …

The email is from our team leader, Priscilla Young. “Polinica Zdroj (the location of the camp) is beautiful. It was built before the war when this was Germany, so a lot of the buildings have a real German or Austrian look. There are lots of sharp …
We have heard another update from the ladies in Poland. Below are some excerpts from an email sent by our team leader, Priscilla Young. “It’s Tuesday evening and we are going to have Polish night tonight. The Polish women have been preparing and scheming for this, so we are very excited about what they will come up with. Thursday is American Night, and we are doing a Cowboy and Western themed evening. It should be fun as well. “Today was my (Priscilla’s) turn to speak, and it went really well. After listening to Wendy Szymczak …
Thank you to all who are praying for our short term missions teams that are participating in efforts to reach All People, All Places. I received this email from the missionary in Poland, Rebecca LeMaster, who is coordinating our involvement in Poland. Rebecca is overseeing an English language camp for adult women in Poland. Our team from SCC will not only teach the language classes, but also live with the Polish women for the week. Please pray that God will build the relationships quickly between our the Polish women and our team.
The food has actually been quite good. We have our longest day ahead of us. To give you a brief overview of what our day looks like: We meet about 7am for devotionals and announcements for the day. We then load …
